Used 75 Potassium Nitrate, 15 airfloat willow charcoal, and 10 sulfur. Ball milled 75 potassium nitrate + 5 charcoal, then 10 charcoal and 10 sulfur.

Shake vigorously for 5 minutes, allow to settle, pour off water, repeat until water is more or less clear, dry the sulfur in a pan in the sun. The spectracide brand stump remover is perfect. kno3. Corning or granulation isn't hard. It just takes some practice.

It is possible to get quick BP this way but it is a LOT of hard work for a very small amount of powder. You should look at either building your own ball mill or using a hobby tumbler.

WEBDec 20, 2018 · It took me less than 10 minutes of labor, and basically most of that was making the pucks and corning the powder after the ball mill did it's thing for 24 hours. If I had a larger rock tumbler I could have probably made 10, or even 20 lbs of black powder with not much labor investment. The ball mill does most of the work.
